Devote this first day of the new year to yourself!

Sleep in a little, have some brunch, and then come join us in the afternoon for some restorative yoga, designed to bring some ease into the body and spirit.  We will begin with some slow, gentle stretches to work out tension from the holidays and then slip into the restorative yoga poses, alternatively stimulating and relaxing the major muscles of the body and internal organs.

Appropriate for all levels of yoga experience and especially beneficial for those experiencing stress or recovering from illness or injury.

Ann Burrus studied with Judith Lasater to be certified as a restorative yoga teacher in 2005, and in 2008 she studied with Nischala Joy Devi for the certification to teach yoga to those who may be dealing with life-threatening diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and cancer. The training also targeted those who are caregivers for loved ones with illness. Ann has now been teaching yoga for 15 years. Drawn to the healing power of yoga, physically and spiritually, she encourages students to feel comfortable with what comes to the surface as they breathe, rest, and release stress.
