In both the BEGINNERS and the INTERMEDIATE hoop workshops we will safely explore how our bodies can learn to dance on a hanging hoop apparatus called a LYRA.

We will learn how to sequence basic and intermediate moves while
using the element of spin to give the Lyra practice a unique texture.
INJURY PREVENTION WORKSHOP for AERIALISTS
This workshop is for the beginner and the experienced aerialist alike. We will begin with a hearty warm up, explaining the muscles used in aerial and how we begin to warm them up and build strength to keep us safe on the fabrics. We will then move on to conditioning major muscle groups on the fabrics: upper, side, and low core, pecs, lats and most importantly the rotator cuffs. We will discuss the common injuries to aerialists and how to prevent them. I highly recommend this workshop for everyone to learn more about their body parts that are involved in aerial and how to strengthen and them keep safe. You will take home a working knowledge of the anatomy in your body and some hot, tired muscles, along with ways to condition when not in class!
